After breakfast start with superb
symmetrical architecture of the Forbidden
City, also known as the Imperial Palace, the
former residence of the Ming and Qing
dynasty Emperors. The Forbidden City opens
out onto Tiananmen Square, the largest in
the world and capacity of holding over 1
million people, then to the Temple of
Heaven, a materpiece of Chinese architecture
from the 15th century with not a single nail

Travel out to the Summer Palace where a
relaxing stroll along the beautiful verandas
surrounding Lake Kunming is a real treat.
This will be followed by a visit to the
Beijing Zoo where you can watch the pandas
and then tour through the Lama Temple.(BL) |

Today for you will have a chance to climb
the Great Wall of China. After breakfast put
your good climbing shoes and board your
coach for the 90-kilometer trip to Badaling.
As you conquer your own short climb you may
marvel in awe at the sheer magnitude of the
scale of construction as the Wall snakes its
way over the mountains and valleys into the
distance. If you don’t feel quite up to the
climb there is a chairlift available at
extra cost. After another sumptuous Chinese
lunch you will continue to the legendary
Ming Tombs. Enjoy a Beijing Duck Banquet
