board your morning train to Beijing. A
picnic lunch has been provided for you and
drinks and food are available from the
dinning car. There are some amazing sights
as your train trundles its way across the
northern farmlands and through the tunnels

Visit the world’s largest
public square capable of holding more than a
million people – Tiananmen Square. Leading
off the square is the world’s most
symmetrical form of architecture – the 9999
room Forbidden City. To cap off the day
visit the majestic Temple of Heaven where
farmers prayed for favourable weather and

Take a stroll along the
ornate verandas of the Summer Palace
situated around the placid cool waters of
Kunming Lake. The Summer Palace was the
favoured resort of the Empress Dowager
during the warm Beijing summer months. Next
stop is the Beijing Zoo where you can catch
up with a collection of Giant Pandas who
will no double be either sleeping, or
munching on bamboo shoots. The day’s
sightseeing ends with a visit to the Lama
Temple still regarded as one of the finest
Buddhist temples in China. |

What a great treat is in
store for you today as you realize every
traveler’s ambition – to walk upon the Great
Wall of China. Don’t forget wear your
sneakers, so you can grip the steeply
inclined steps along the wall. A chairlift
is available at additional cost. After this
memorable occasion, enjoy a light Chinese
lunch at a nearby restaurant before visiting
one of the only three Ming Tombs opened –

Your breakfast is the only
meal including today – a leisure day. Then
there are no tours planned for you today
which is yours to venture out and explore
this great city by yourself. For the ladies,
designer label garments are at very
reasonable prices and good quality. There
are also thousands of restaurants around
Beijing as well as a modern new culture of
entertainment. If you wish to extend your
stay in Beijing ask your travel agent for
the extra night cost – you’ll be surprised

Today you will visit the
Jade Buddha Temple, see the precommunist
colonial architecture preserved along the
Bund and visit the Children’s Palace where
budding young musicians and dancers are
professionally trained after their normal
school day (this tour available only on week

A morning visit has been
arranged to the newly completed Shanghai
Museum which has the perfect combination of
ancient works of art, sculpture and ceramics
on display with the very latest technology
in air- conditioning, lighting and easy – to
- read bi – lingual presentation. After
lunch you will be taken on an interesting
cruise ‘between the two bridges’ the Yangpu
and the Nanpu, the world’s longest and 4th
longest cable – stayed suspension bridges
and embracing the Pudong Economic
Development Zone. |

Depart by morning flight
to Wuhan. After lunch take a leisurely
cruise around East Lake and then visit the
Yellow Crane Pagoda which overlooks the
Yangtze River Bridge and is not far from the
boarding point for your Regal Princess
Cruiser. After dinner you will be welcomed
aboard your ship and made comfortable in
your cabin before the rope are slipped and
you commence your great river journey.(BLD) |

Cabins are twin – bed with
private facilities and viewing windows and
there are many pleasant features about your
ship which will help make your cruise more
enjoyable. You will travel over 1300
kilometers on your journey up the mighty
Yangtze River – 3rd longest in the world and
the ever changing panorama along the banks
of this huge life – support system will
remain in your memory forever. Each day your
cruiser will tie – up at a river port and
you can go ashore to join in organized land
tours or simply put your feet up and snooze
the day away. Places such as Chibi, Sashi,
Yichang (where you will be lifted up to look
to the upper reaches of the river), the
incredible 3 Gorges, Danning River side –
trip, Wanxian, Shibaozhai and finally
Chongqing are all part of this really
memorable experience. All meals are included
whilst aboard your cruiser. You will also
get a chance to get a first - hand view of
the world’s largest engineering project, the
